Look up!

Whats up everybody? I hope you are all well and the bank holiday has been kind to you.

I wanted to share a quick tip with you all. A lot of people these days have their heads buried in their iPhones and other such devices and forget that there is a world around them that they are just letting pass them by. I make a point that when I go out walking that I leave my phone in my pocket and I pay attention to the world around me.

I have lived in my town for 13 years and it was only recently that I noticed things in and around it that I had never seen before, just like this great sign. It resides on top of a building along a pretty busy road through the heart of folkestone. I only noticed it whilst I was out looking at some local architecture for a recent project. I just happened to look up and noticed some strange scaffolding sticking out over the rooftops. So I walked down the road and saw this. It made me laugh and also made me think. I was curious as to how long it had been there! Why was it there? What did it mean? Was someone trying to convey a message of some sort? I had been down this road a 100 times before and never seen it. Probably because I was too engrossed with my phone or something similar! But for whatever reason it was there, I enjoyed it and thought I needed to photograph it.

Now I want to encourage everyone else to pay attention, look up from the mobile technology and see the things you might be missing out on.
